AWARD GUIDELINES, ELIGIBILITY & SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS

BEFORE SUBMITTING YOUR ENTRIES:

VERIFY YOUR ELIGIBILITY

  • Determine your company's HBA membership status – Builder or Associate Member – You may also hold an affiliate member status within a company. (Only HBA builders and associate members in good standing are eligible for recognition). Non-members will not be included or credited.
  • Ensure your company is an HBA member in good standing with dues paid in full by 12/1/23 to either the HBA of Bucks and Montgomery Counties or the HBA of Chester and Delaware Counties. Otherwise, your entry will be rejected. Contact your HBA for membership verification.
  • Your project (not business) must be located in Bucks, Chester, Delaware, or Montgomery Counties.
  • Your product must be continually offered through December 31, 2023, to be eligible.
  • Winning projects previously entered are NOT eligible to be submitted again in the same category.

ADD KEY AWARD DATES TO YOUR CALENDAR

  • December 1, 2023- January 31, 2024 - Early Bird Entry Period - Entry fees $150
  • February 1 - February 21st- Entry fees $225
  • February 21, 2024, Entry Deadline. NO EXTENSIONS

(Helpful tip: Preview the award categories and requirements and organize the supplemental documentation, including the marketing description, so everything is at your fingertips when you start your submission).

NOW YOU ARE READY TO ENTER in THREE STEPS!

STEP 1: REVIEW THE COMPLETE LIST OF AWARD CATEGORIES

  • Visit the "Submit an Entry" page, determine the categories you want to enter

STEP 2: SUBMIT AN ENTRY APPLICATION 

  • Complete the Entry Application, providing company information, and choose your categories from the list.
  • Pay entry fees no later than February 21, 2024- (Select payment method at checkout)
  • Once your application is submitted, the entry system will generate your unique entry serial number(s) per entry.
  • A confirmation e-mail will be sent, including all your entries and instructions for the next step to upload your supporting documents.

NOTES: The "New Home Sales" category is specifically for those that sell new construction homes. There's no limit to the number of award entries. You may enter a single project in more than one category or multiple projects in multiple categories.

To qualify for Community of the Year, you must enter all three award categories (Marketing, Merchandising, and Home Design) plus the Community of the Year category. Be sure to include a PDF of the community map/site plan and provide a list of amenities and other unique features in your marketing statement.

STEP 3: COMPLETE YOUR ENTRY FORMS 

  • Complete the entry form/s for your selected categories and upload the required materials for your submission.
  • The system will generate a confirmation of your submission for your records.

NOTE: Digital Files — site plan, floor plan, and photo images required.

PLEASE NOTE THE LABELING OF THE IMAGES MUST BE AS FOLLOWS, AND ANY IMAGES NOT NAMED IN THE PROPER MANNER WILL REQUIRE THE ENTRANT TO RESUBMIT IMAGES PROPERLY OR BE SUBJECT TO DISQUALIFICATION.

PAYMENT NOTES:

  • December 1- January 31 - Early Bird Entry Period - Entry fees $150
  • February 1 - February 21st - Entry fees $250

Entries will not be accepted without payment. We recommend processing your payment by credit card at the time of your online submission to avoid disqualification from late payment.

  • If you choose the "Check" payment option, payment must be received no later than February 21, 2024.
  • Make checks payable to the "HBA of Bucks & Montgomery Counties" and due by February 21, 2024.
  • Mail checks to HBA of Bucks and Montgomery Counties, 540 Pennsylvania Avenue, #309, Fort Washington, PA. 19034. Attn:  Best in Pennsylvania Living Awards.
  • Special billing arrangements may be requested by e-mailing Carla Zapotek at czapotek@hbahomes.com before the submission deadline of February 21, 2024.

 

Entry Rollover for The Nationals

We are pleased to offer a special entry rollover program.

Here's how it works. You have already entered materials! The Awards Committee will provide your entry materials to the Nationals for you! If you would like to resubmit those materials for either program, all that is needed is for you to mark the boxes on the entry application for Nationals. You will be invoiced separately for entry fees for each program. No additional forms or materials are needed!! Mark your form, and you are all set; we'll take care of the rest!
